Smart phones are the high–tech gadgets that offer a unique combination of mobile phone and personal digital mechanism. Today’s models also serve as portable media players and camera phones with high-resolution touch screens, web browsers that can access and properly display standard web pages. Therefore the name smart phone that refers to a more advanced computing ability and connectivity than a contemporary feature phone. But Apple has delayed the launch saying that there are still some improvisations left to be attended. The new iPhone 5 will have a dual core A5 processor, an eight megapixel camera and the latest upgrade to the iOS. Other exciting new features for the iPhone 5 are the voice based navigation system and panorama photography capabilities.
Samsung Duo is a dual sim world phone introduced by Tata Teleservices in India. The phone features a 2 mega pixel Camera with a touch screen displa and a Dual SIM Interface(CDMA+GSM). The mobile phone has a 1140 mAh battery FM for radio lovers ,Bluetooth and 4GB expandable memory card support to expand memory at the will and wish of the users. Tata Indicom, Reliance and Virgin Mobiles provides support for CDMA service while GSM Slot is supported by all networks.
The Samsung Duo dual sim phone supports 72 polyphonic ringtones with a capacity of holding 200 SMS messages and 999 contacts and every contact can have 5 numbers. The call register on the Samsung Duo dual sim mobile can store about 400 records.
Coming at a price of Rs 12,000, it also sports a TFT touchscreen which is of 2.2 inch in size an A2DP Blue tooth and a 2 megapixel camera with a micro SD card. The phone is helpful for users who want to edit there documents on word, excel etc and it has an internal memory of 10 MB.

Spice has gone one step higher in Dual sim phones by launching India’s First Dual SIM Mobile (GSM+GSM) PDA phone. This PDA works on Windows mobile 6.0. It has every other feature like the old dual mobiles like 2.0Megapixel camera with 6X zoom, video recording and playback. It has the basic features like integrated MP3 media players, GPRS and Bluetooth connection.
