These two companies which as you know are successful in their own right have teamed up to come up with a single magnetic tape that enables you to store up to 35TB of data. This is the equivalent of the amount of space needed to store 35 million text books which would need bookshelves 399 kilometers long! The amazing thing is that this magnetic tape which is made from barium ferrite magnetic material, measures only about 800 meters lengthwise and one and half inches wide.
This magnetic tape has a density of 29.5 billion bits per square inch which is really amazing because other magnetic tapes get weaker the denser they are.
